Some people might go psycho without their caffeine fix from Saeco. Saeco International Group makes automatic espresso and coffee machines for home and commercial use. It also makes manual machines, professional coffee machines, and beverage vending machines. Its brands include Saeco, Gaggia, and Spidem, which are sold primarily in Austria, Benelux, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and the US. (Saeco International sells its products in more than 60 countries, but sales within Europe account for about three-fourths of revenue.) In 2004 the company was taken private by French buyout firm PAI Partners, through its Giro Investimenti subsidiary. PAI sold Saeco to Royal Philips Electronics in 2009.
