Overview
Sacred Heart Hospital not only cares for hearts that are holey, but also for the rest of what ails residents of western Wisconsin. The more than 300-bed medical center provides specialized services that include cardiology, cancer care, pediatrics, and emergency medicine. The hospital provides community-wide care through affiliations with the Marshfield Clinic (a provider network with more than 700 physicians), Oakleaf Medical Network (an organization of providers and clinics), and Infinity Healthcare and Pathology Services (supplies the hospital with medical x-ray professionals). Founded in 1889 by the Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis, the center is part of the Hospital Sisters Health System.
