Overview
RWE-DEA AG für Mineraloel und Chemie (RWE-DEA) produces the hydrocarbons that keep cars racing down the Autobahn -- and the wheels of Germany's industry turning. The oil and gas exploration and production company, part of conglomerate RWE AG, operates numerous gas projects (exploration, production and storage) in Germany. It is the operator of Germany's largest oil field, Mittelplate in the North Sea. RWE-DEA also participates in exploration and production projects in North Africa, Denmark, Malta, Norway, Poland, and the UK. In has proved reserves of 94.5 million cu. meters of natural gas equivalent, and annually produces about 3.8 million metric tons of crude and 3 billion cu. meters of natural gas.
