Overview
RRI Energy, a leading US independent power producer, has about 35 generating plants that give it a primarily fossil-fueled capacity of 14,500 MW. RRI Energy's customers include independent power producers, utilities, municipalities, and cooperatives. Its plants -- which are powered by coal, gas, and fuel oil -- serve much of the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Midwestern US along with California.
