Although the Phantom was long the only model made by Rolls-Royce, the company has added two new versions (the Phantom Extended Wheelbase and the Phantom Drophead Coupé), with more on the drawing board. The company makes about 1,000 hand-crafted cars a year. Even if you can't afford it, you can still ask. A Phantom costs about ₤300,000, give or take a shilling or two. In 2003 BMW bought control of the name and the manufacturing of Rolls-Royce cars from Volkswagen AG.
