Overview

The last "eye-in-the-sky" news report you saw might very well have come from a copter made by Robinson Helicopter. The company manufactures more non-military helicopters in a year than the collective ship production of all other North American manufacturers. Its aircraft are used in applications from police work to television news reporting, instrument flight training, radio traffic reporting, and emergency services. Robinson Helicopter offers two main product lines: the two-seat R22 and the four-seat R44. The company also provides overhaul and maintenance services and safety courses for technicians and pilots. The privately held company is owned by founder Frank Robinson.
