Overview
Resource America's resource of choice is money. The company manages a series of funds which invest in corporate credit, commercial mortgages, and other real estate assets; trust-preferred securities of financial companies; and asset-backed securities. Its financial fund management operations, including Apidos Capital Management and Trapeza Capital Management, finance, structure, and manage investments in bank loans, securities, bonds, and other instruments. It also owns a stake in LEAF Commercial Capital, which offers loans and leases to small and midsized companies, generally for technology, industrial, and medical equipment. Resource America and its affiliates have some $13 billion in assets under management.
