Competing with Ford, Fiat, and Volkswagen for market share, it produces and markets Renault automobiles and auto parts for sale in Argentina and for export to other South American countries, mainly in Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Renault models made in Argentina include the Kangoo2, Clio, and Megane. Renault owned 89% of Renault Argentina until late in 2005 when it bought the remaining 11% it did not already own.
