Reinet Investments S.C.A.
Overview
Reinet Investments (formerly Richemont SA) is a specialized investment fund established in Luxembourg in 2008. The new company is a product of the restructuring of Compagnie Financière Richemont (CFR), the Swiss luxury goods business that markets international brands such as Cartier, Montblanc and Piaget. Reinet Fund was initially capitalized with an interest in British American Tobacco and later purchased a portion of Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking, resulting in an aggregate value of more than €2 billion. It is a closed-end fund for all of the company's investments. Reinet is controlled by South African billionaire Johann Rupert.
