Overview
If you're in need of electronic payment, cash dispensing, and e-commerce services, WorldPay has a world of payment options. Formerly RBS WorldPay, the firm processes face-to-face credit and debit card transactions, as well as online and phone payments, federal income tax and electronic benefits payments, and ATM transactions. It provides point-of-sale terminals for merchant clients, including virtual terminals and tap-and-go machines for smaller transactions. WorldPay also provides risk management services. The firm primarily serves retailers, restaurants, convenience stores, supermarkets, and online businesses in the US. Advent International and Bain Capital acquired control of WorldPay in late 2010.
