The company provides a range of Web hosting and managed data and network services for businesses. Rackspace specializes in database and systems design, network security, and enterprise email services. It has more than 29,000 enterprise customers and operates eight data centers located in Texas, Virginia, and the UK. Rackspace integrates technology from such leading sources as EMC, Microsoft, Novell, Red Hat, and VMware; it also offers technical support services. The company was founded in 1998. Chairman Graham Weston owns more than 20% of Rackspace.
