Questar is on a quest for natural gas. The energy company operates through three subsidiaries. Questar Market Resources is engaged in oil and gas exploration and production, gas gathering and processing, gas storage, and wholesale oil marketing. Its exploration units (Questar Exploration and Production and Wexpro) reports proved reserves of about 1.9 trillion cu. ft. equivalent. Public utility Questar Gas distributes natural gas to more than 873,600 customers in Utah, southwestern Wyoming, and southeastern Idaho. Questar Pipeline operates a 2,200-mile transportation system and gas storage facilities in Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado.
