Its main subsidiary, Quality Carriers, transports bulk chemical products in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Overall, the company's fleet consists of about 3,900 tractors and 7,500 trailers. Dow Chemical accounts for about 8% of Quality Distribution's sales; other major customers include DuPont, Procter & Gamble, and PPG Industries. Quality Distribution also provides dry bulk hauling, transloading, tank cleaning, intermodal transport, and logistics services. Affiliates of investment firm Apollo Advisors own about 55% of the company.
