Qimonda Company Description
Qimonda has this to say to its parent company: Thanks for the memories! In 2006 Infineon Technologies spun off this vendor of memory chips in the hopes that it will bob to the top of the turbulent DRAM market. Qimonda (pronounced "key-MOAN-duh") is challenging Samsung Electronics for supremacy in the field of DRAMs. More than three-quarters of its sales are in the Asia/Pacific and North American markets. Qimonda is branding memory products for the channel and retail markets as AENEON, while using the Qimonda brand for OEM customers. The company's top customers are Hewlett-Packard (about 17% of sales) and Dell (12%). Infineon owns around 77% of Qimonda.
