Provena Health Company Description
Provena Health is a provider of medical services to patients in the Midwest. Provena operates six hospitals (including Provena Covenant Medical Center, Provena Mercy Medical Center, and Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center) and approximately 20 nursing homes and assisted living facilities, 30 primary care clinics, five home health agencies, and other health-related programs. The health care system serves north and central Illinois, and also operates a nursing home in Avilla, Indiana. The system includes a staff of some 1,700 physicians and more than 1,600 beds. Provena is sponsored by Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary, and Sisters of Mercy of the Americas.
