Do you need a new annuity? Presidential Life Corporation is the parent of Presidential Life Insurance, which focuses on individual annuities. The company sells single-premium and flexible-premium annuity products. It also offers short-term disability contracts in New York and medical stop loss coverage to employers. The bulk of its life insurance business was placed in run-off in 2004 whereby the company still services its existing policies but does not write new business. The firm does write some graded benefit life policies which require no underwriting. Presidential Life distributes its products through independent agents and brokers. Sales in New York account for more than a third of the company's revenues.
