Do you need a new annuity? Presidential Life Corporation is the parent of Presidential Life Insurance, which, despite its name, is focused on individual annuities. The company sells single-premium and flexible-premium annuity products. It also offers short-term disability contracts in New York, and medical stop loss coverage to employers. Its life insurance business was put on indefinite hold in 2004, but the company still services its existing policies. The company also still writes graded benefit life policies which require no underwriting. Sales in New York account for half of the company's revenues. Chairman Herbert Kurz owns 26% of the company.
