Formerly known as HOK Sport Venue Event, the architecture firm specializes in sports facility design and also offers graphic design, interior design, and facility assessment services, which are intended to help facility owners make operational changes and improvements. Clients include the Major League Baseball and National Football League franchises, colleges and universities, and soccer and rugby teams. Outside of the US, Populous has completed projects in Asia, Australia, and Europe. The company was spun off from HOK Group in a management buyout in early 2009.
