Overview
One of Central Europe's largest mobile phone operator, Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC) has more than 12 million subscribers to its services and the company controls more than 37% of the Polish market for cellular phone services. It operates the Era GSM network and offers prepaid services, primarily targeted at the youth market, under the Tak Tak and Heyah brands. Business clients are served by its Era Biznes unit. The company provides wireless multimedia content under the Era Omnix banner. German telecom giant Deutsche Telekom owns 97% of the company. PTC first rolled out its service in 1996.
