Polimeri Europa, the petrochemical arm of Italy-based oil behemoth Eni, produces and distributes a wide range of chemicals, operating through three main divisions: basic chemicals, polyethylene, and elastomers and styrenics. Polimeri Europa sells more than 5 billion tons of materials a year and has a sales network that is present in 17 countries. (Italy still accounts for more than half of company sales.) The company has its headquarters and numerous plants in Italy, and it also has plants in Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Portugal, and the UK.
