    Aug. 16--PHILIPPINE-listed companies stand a chance of attracting investors from the US, according to financial advisory firm LEA Capital Advisors, LLC. Larry Eastland, LEA Capital director said many US investors are interested in supporting local companies that earn at least $8 million to $10 million in revenues a year and that aim to grow 16 percent a year.

    Aug. 16--GLOBE Telecom Inc. on Friday announced that it cut the price of iPhone 3G handsets by a tenth for its prepaid and plan subscribers in a bid to make the gadget more affordable. The Ayala-led telecom company said it reduced prices of the handset and offered good-value plans that come with free short messaging service, free voice minutes, free Internet, and free access to WiZ and Wi-Fi.
