The company operates live production and processing facilities in about 15 US states through its some 2,250 contracted poultry farmers. Perdue sells poultry through retail food outlets and to foodservice customers, most of which are located in the eastern half of the US; the company also exports worldwide. Its Perdue Agribusiness unit processes grain for animal feed and pet food ingredients, makes vegetable oils, and manufactures fertilizer and renewable fuel.
