Pactiv Corporation has a pretty Hefty job. The company behind consumer Hefty brand products, such as plastic trash bags, slide-lock baggies, and disposable tableware, is also a leading provider of foodservice products, including foam takeout containers, molded-fiber egg cartons, and plastic cups. Most of Pactiv's sales are derived from products that hold the #1 or #2 position in the marketplace. Its foodservice packaging products are used by the supermarket, restaurant, packer/processor, and institutional industries primarily in North America, where most of its manufacturing facilities are based. It has additional operations in Germany and China.
