This company is gambling on the lottery taking root in Vietnam. Pacific Lottery is a development-stage company focused on creating and operating a national lottery in cooperation with the Vietnamese government. It designs and manufactures the terminals that will be used for the online lottery system and has a contract to operate and maintain the system once it is in place. Pacific Lottery's agreement with the Vietnamese government also gives it the right to have sports-betting operations there. Chairman Richard DeVries owns more than 25% of the company through his investment firms; Malaysian holding company Genting Berhad, which has other gaming and leisure holdings worldwide, owns a 20% stake.
