Along with parent company Pacific Life Insurance, Pacific Life & Annuity (PL&A) offers individual annuities and traditional life insurance products. Unlike Pacific Life, however, PL&A is licensed in the state of New York and offers many of its products only in the New York market. (It is also licensed for some products in Arizona, where it is domiciled, and a few other states.) In addition to individual life insurance and annuities, PL&A issues structured settlement annuities, which are used to make payments to injured parties in personal injury and workers' compensation cases.
