Pacific Coast Producers Company Description
Fruit and veggies, not movies, are the creative output of this particular group of Pacific Coast Producers. The private-label and store-brand fruit and tomato cooperative uses the crops of its more than 100 grower/members to supply the retail and foodservice industries with canned fruit, vegetables, and juices. Albertson's, Aldi, Kroger, Safeway, Supervalu/Sav-A-Lot, Whole Foods, and Wild Oats are among its customers. The company has six operation sites in California. The company sold its metal food can operations to food-container manufacturer Silgan Holdings in 2003; at the same time, it entered into a 10-year supply agreement with Silgan.
