Overview

This company wants to be a breath of fresh air for women who watch TV. Oxygen Media operates the Oxygen cable network, a channel that targets female viewers with such programs as Bad Girls Club, Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, and Talk Sex with Sue Johanson. It also broadcasts syndicated supermodel-hosted talk show The Tyra Banks Show and the Tyra Banks hosted competition series America's Next Top Model, as well as a variety of movies and other programming. The network reaches about 75 million homes in the US. Oxygen Media also publishes content online through several Web sites. Founded in 1998, the company was acquired by NBC Universal in 2007.
