Spanx helps women draw the line on pantylines. The company, which also caters to men, makes footless and footed hosiery, tights, and body shapers to give wearers a slim and smooth look. Spanx sells bras (Bra-llelujah!), slips (Hide & Sleek), panties (Power Panties), and lined apparel (Bod-a-Bing!). Its Spanx for Men includes undershirts. Its "shapewear" products are sold at such retailers as NordstromSaks Fifth AvenueLord & Taylor, and Bloomingdale'sTarget developed ASSETS (bodyshaping hosiery) with Spanx; they're also sold at www.loveassets.com. Company founder Sara Blakely is credited with inventing footless pantyhose. In 2000, she founded Spanx with $5,000 of her savings and patented her pantyhose.
