Company Description

SouthWest Water Company doesn't just serve water in the southwestern US: It provides water and wastewater services to more than 1 million customers and utility-related contract services to 400 clients in five states. Its Utility Group owns and operates more than 130 regulated water and wastewater systems in Alabama, California, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Texas. The company's non-regulated segment contracts with cities, public agencies, and private companies. In a move to access long-term capital, in 2010 SouthWest Water was acquired for $275 million by an infrastructure investor group advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Water Asset Management.
