Company Description

Seaco, formerly GE SeaCo Services, leases SeaCells by the seashore. The company is among the largest shipping-container lessors in the world. Through representatives in 80-plus countries, it offers a container fleet of about one million twenty-foot equivalent units. Equipment includes refrigerated containers, tanks, flatracks, swapbodies (intermodal containers), and the SeaCell (two-pallet-wide containers). Seaco also operates service depots and container-making facilities globally. Formed as a 50-50 JV between GE Capital and SeaCo Ltd., Seaco was acquired in 2011 by Hong Kong private equity firm Bravia Capital and Chinese logistics company HNA Group for about $2.5 billion.
