Company Description

Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) trains both British Army officers and civilian leaders. Its courses of study are run by three departments: Communication and Management Studies, Defence and International Affairs, and War Studies. Unlike West Point in the US and Royal Military College of Canada, Sandhurst is not a university but a center of postgraduate education. In recent years the academy has established a management consulting business. Women have trained at Sandhurst since 1984. RMAS was established in 1947, consolidating Royal Military Academy (operating in Woolwich from 1741 to 1939) and Royal Military College (formerly Army Staff College), founded in 1800. Among its former cadets is Prince Harry.
