Company Description

OMG! What a cool company! OMG provides imagery software and services for use in video games and films, as well as in engineering, defense, medical research, roadway surveying, and athletic training. Its flagship motion-capture product, Vicon, has been used for creating visual effects by Industrial Light and Magic and Electronic Arts, and for engineering by BMW and Peugeot. In 2009, OMG began mining the consumer market. The company was established as Oxford Metrics Group in 1984 and has offices in the UK and the US, including California subsidiary Sensing Systems. OMG gets about half of its revenues in North America, while its life sciences revenues have exceeded its entertainment segment since at least 2009.
