Company Description

Moscow City Telephone Network (MGTS) provides the residents of Russia's capital with communications services. Founded in 1882, the company is one of the largest telecommunications companies in Europe and operates more than 5,800 exchanges with more than 4 million phone lines. Its customers include private users, commercial customers, and government agencies. MGTS also provides information and directory data services to individuals and to corporate customers. In 2011 Moscow-based Mobile TeleSystems approved a boost in its investment of MGTS to 99.1% of the ordinary shares and 94.1% of the total charter capital.
