Company Description

If casinos can bloom in the desert, why can't water flow? It can, thanks to the Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD), which provides water to some one million residents living in one of the driest places in the US. In addition to Las Vegas, the LVVWD serves residents of Blue Diamond, Coyote Springs, Jean, Kyle Canyon, Laughlin, Searchlight, and other parts of Clark County in Southern Nevada. The district delivers water to customers through some 4,500 miles of water transmission pipeline connected to 65 pumping stations, 76 wells, and 68 reservoirs and tanks. (Its tanks and reservoirs have the capacity to store more than 900 million gallons.) The LVVWD sources 90% of its water to the Colorado River.
