Company Description

Chile's leading air carrier for 80 years, Lan Airlines (LAN) transports passengers throughout its home country and well beyond. Together with its regional affiliates, the carrier serves some more than 100 destinations, mainly in the Americas but also in Europe and the Asia/Pacific region. It serves close to 700 markets around the world via the Oneworld alliance, a code-sharing partnership. The company's fleet of about 125 passenger aircraft consists of both Boeing and Airbus jets. Subsidiary Lan Cargo, one of Latin America's leading airfreight carriers, operates a fleet of about 10 freighters. The Chilean Cueto family controls a majority interest in LAN.
