Company Description

Kinder Morgan Canada, formerly Terasen Pipelines, operates five petroleum transport systems covering some 2,500 miles -- Trans Mountain, Trans Mountain Jet Fuel, Puget Sound, Express & Platte, and Cochin. Its ships about 20% of all liquid petroleum products produced in Alberta to markets in Western Canada and in the Northwestern US. The pipeline company, founded in 1951 as Trans Mountain, was a subsidiary of Terasen Inc. until its parent company was acquired by Kinder Morgan, Inc. in 2005.
