Company Description

Neither ame, nor mizore, nor yuki will keep state-owned Japan Post Holdings and its Japan Post Service subsidiary from delivering more than 21 billion letters and packages a year. Another subsidiary, Japan Post Network, oversees more than 24,000 post offices. The company also offers savings accounts, through Japan Post Bank, and life insurance, through Japan Post Insurance. Japan Post Holdings was formed in 2007 to oversee the four operating companies, which were created from a state agency known as Japan Post. However, in order to make its operating structure more efficient, the government announced in early 2010 it plans to merge Japan Post Holdings with its other post mail delivery companies.
