J Sainsbury's trolley is filled with more than groceries. The UK's third-largest food retailer (after Tesco and ASDA) operates the Sainsbury's Supermarkets chain of some 555 grocery stores throughout the UK. Its fast-growing Sainsbury's online home delivery shopping service covers more than 90% of the UK population. In addition to supermarkets, it operates about 375 convenience stores under the Sainsbury's Local banner. The firm also owns half of Sainsbury's Bank (in a 50-50 joint venture with Lloyds Banking Group), and a pair of property joint ventures. Sainsbury also sells apparel and  home goods, including cookware and bedding, in its supermarkets and online. In 2011 it acquired Global Media Vault.
