Company Description

JBS USA Holdings is big beef, prodigious pork, and lord of lamb. The business, a subsidiary of Brazil's JBS (the world's #1 beef processor and exporter), operates beef, pork, sheep, and lamb processing plants in the US and Australia. Its US holdings include JBS Swift (12 processing plants) and JBS Packerland (boxed and ground beef production) and Australia's Tasman Group (10 beef, pork, sheep, and lamb processing facilities and five feedlots). JBS USA also owns JBS Five Rivers, which operates about 10 feedlots. The business exports to 60 countries. Parent JBS entered the US market in 2007 with the purchase of Swift Foods, which was renamed JBS USA. JBS USA filed to go public but withdrew its plans in 2011.
