Company Description

At the beck and call of oil companies, Hornbeck Offshore Services provides marine transportation of oil field equipment and supplies and petroleum products. The company operates offshore supply vessels (OSVs) that support offshore oil and gas drilling and production in the deepwater regions of the Gulf of Mexico. Its fleet of about 45 OSVs transports cargo, such as pipe and drilling mud, as well as rig crew members. Hornbeck also operates oceangoing tug and tank barge units that transport crude and refined petroleum products in the northeastern US, Great Lakes, and Puerto Rico, as well as Mexico, Trinidad, Brazil, and Qatar. Its fleet includes about 16 tugs and 15 barges. Exxon Mobil and Shell are customers.
