Company Description

Hess Limited is not limited to the exploitation of crude oil. The company, a subsidiary of US-based Hess Corporation, is a crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company. Hess primarily operates on the UK continental shelf, where it is a major producer of oil and gas in the traditional North Sea oil patches and also in the Atlantic to the west of the Shetland Islands. In the North Sea the company has operated six development projects that have used offshore floating production vessels. The Hess UK unit accounted for approximately 6% of its parent company's total crude oil and natural gas liquids reserves in 2010.
