Company Description

Greatwide Logistics Services brings together a world of freight transportation and logistics companies. The third-party logistics provider offers dedicated transportation, in which drivers and equipment are assigned to a customer long-term; distribution logistics; truckload freight brokerage; and truckload freight transportation, largely via a network of more than 20,000 independent owner-operators. Greatwide calls upon a fleet of some 5,000 trucks and has 3 million sq. ft. of warehouse space in the US. Clients have included such heavy hitters as Target, Wal-Mart, and IBM. Greatwide emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2009 after being acquired by an investor group.
