Company Description

So, what's Gnu with you? Gnu-Co (pronounced New-Co) produces, trades, and distributes timber mats, construction mats, and related industrial grade wood products to customers all over the United States and Canada. The firm also makes and sells wood trim and molding, windows, doors, and paneling. Gnu-Co also assists with making freight arrangements (by rail, truck, and barge) for its customers, tracking orders, and locating storage facilities. The company has traded in lumber since the 1980s, but company founders Blair and Carolyn Gaynor had trouble deciding on a name for their enterprise back in 1997. Initially, they simply called it "new company," shortened it to Gnu-Co, and it stuck.
