Company Description

Geisinger Health System provides health care to a large section of the Keystone State, serving residents of about 40 counties in the central and northeastern portions of Pennsylvania. Founded in 1915, the system's flagship facility is Geisinger Medical Center, a 400-bed medical-surgical hospital in Danville that includes the Janet Weis Children's Hospital. With joint venture partner HealthSouth, the organization runs a rehabilitation hospital in Danville. The system also includes the 240-bed Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center and numerous outpatient facilities and doctors' offices throughout the region.
