Company Description

Gas Natural (formerly Energy Inc.) does what comes naturally -- it distributes, markets, transports, and produces natural gas. Its Energy West, Inc., unit has natural gas distribution operations in Maine, Montana, North Carolina, and Wyoming. Gas Natural also owns Orwell Natural Gas and Northeast Ohio Natural Gas which distribute gas in Ohio and Pennsylvania. All told, Gas Natural serves about 63,500 customers. The company's energy marketing subsidiary, Energy West Resources, primarily sells natural gas and power to customers in Maine, Montana, North Carolina, and Wyoming. It owns the Shoshone interstate and the Glacier gathering natural gas pipelines in Montana and Wyoming. It also has stakes in 160 gas wells.
