Company Description

Emulex looks to set the example in storage networking connections. The company is a leading provider of host server products (HSP) and embedded storage products (ESP). Its LightPulse fibre channel host bust adapters (HBA) are used to connect storage devices in traditional direct-attached storage configurations, as well as storage area network (SAN) and network-attached storage (NAS) systems. Emulex also develops HBAs based on the Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) protocol. Emulex sells its products directly to OEMs and through resellers and distributors. Its customers include companies such as Dell, EMC, IBM (34% of sales), and Hewlett-Packard (21%). The company gets 70% of its sales outside the US.
