Company Description

They might not give you a toaster with that new account, but Daxor's blood and sperm banks are open to attract new, uh, deposits. The company offers blood banking through subsidiary Scientific Medical Systems and operates sperm banks through its Idant division. Its main business, however, has been the development and commercialization of a blood volume analyzer, the BVA-100, which hospitals and other health care providers use to diagnose and treat heart and kidney failure, anemia, and other conditions, as well as to manage blood transfusions. The BVA-100 measures a patient's blood volume within 90 minutes.
