Company Description

Concentra concentrates on keeping people healthy. The company provides occupational health and urgent care services through a network of more than 300 medical centers and 240 workplace clinics in 40 states. Services provided at the centers include pre-employment screening, well checks, vaccinations, lab tests, and physical therapy. Urgent care services include treatments for cold and flu, as well as minor injuries such as lacerations and sprains. It also operates mobile health clinics and wellness programs. Private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe sold Concentra to Humana in 2010.
