Company Description

Brooklyn Museum is the second-largest art museum in New York City (after the Metropolitan Museum of Art) and one of the oldest and largest in the US. Its permanent collection includes more than a million works of art and artifacts from all over the world. Brooklyn Museum is making a push to attract more visits from Brooklynites, with exhibitions and events geared toward local families. The museum has been abandoning its traditional structure of organizing curators by specialties (such as African, Asian, and Egyptian art) in favor of two main functional groups: collections and exhibitions. The Museum is part of a complex of parks and gardens that also includes Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
