Company Description

In the fictional words of BakerCorp, "t'anks for renting from us." Since its founding in 1942, BakerCorp has distributed industrial tanks, pumps, filtration, and shoring equipment for diverse applications ranging from construction to food processing to oil refining. The company also rents related equipment used in liquid or solid containment. BakerCorp has about 100 operations throughout the US, as well as in Canada, Mexico, and Europe, and stocks an inventory of more than 20,000 pieces of equipment. New York-based investment firm Lightyear Capital bought the company in late 2005 and in spring 2011 sold off the tank rental and leasing service to London private-equity Permira in a deal valued at $960 million.
