Company Description

American Trucking Associations (ATA) aims to be heard over the roar of diesel engines on the interstate as the unified voice of the trucking industry. The group seeks to represent the national interests of truckers in legislation, regulation, the courts, and the media. It works closely with state trucking associations and with groups concerned with segments of the trucking business and key industry issues, such as safety. ATA produces several publications and hosts seminars, meetings, and conventions. The organization was formed in 1933 and in 1944 adopted a federation structure comprising national, state and local, and special affiliated interests. ATA has more than 37,000 members.
